This week started with WordCamp Asia and is ending with a 30+ hour journey home. I’ve learned a few things over the past few weeks that are worth sharing:
The WordPress community remains optimistic about just about everything, and pulls together to provide for one another wherever and whenever they can.
Travel halfway around the world is not easy (especially as a disabled person).
Our community is incredibly generous.
Our community is like no other.
As I’ve said in my WordCamp Asia roundup, the accommodations made for me at WordCamp were amazing. (And yes, I showered.)
But, for me, the BEST part of WordCamp Asia was finally being able to be in the same room with people I’ve counted as friends for years! And taking photos with them, having a meal together, interviewing them, and sharing my heart in my talk.
I’m love with the WordPress community.
